Department of Mental Health Leadership Academy

The DMH Leadership Academy is a multi-session leadership program designed to: • Broaden comprehensive understanding of DMH, as discussions for all divisions occur. • Provide soft skills training such as emotional intelligence, communicating effectively and responding to difficult situations; or a refresher for those with previous topic exposure. • Educate participants on the various facets of state government, both internally and externally to DMH. • Foster the development of relationships department-wide and across divisions. • Challenge participants to think critically by developing creative solutions to problems. • Enhance abilities to manage change, collaborate, and build partnerships and teams. • Create an environment to allow for self-development, both as an employee and as a leader.
